Robert J. Bettinardi came from a strong family tradition of quality metal craft. Like his father, Robert became a master miller and because of this early exposure to engineering, he was able to combine his skills with his other passion - golf. With his master milling knowledge, Robert began crafting putters in 1991. Over the next seven years, his craftmanship became recognized and was becoming one the premier engineers of one-piece milled putters.
In 1998, Bettinardi Golf was born. Bettinardi's first "win" came in 1999 when Jesper Parnevik shot 23 under par at the Greater Greensboro Open using a Bettinardi BB-10. Following that win, other pros like Jim Furyk and Vijay Singh won major tournaments using Bettinardi putters.
