The Hybrid is legal for tournament play under USGA decision 14-3/0.5 that permits a committee to establish a local rule that allows a player to use a distance-measuring device to obtain distance information. Scan - The Scan mode allows you to pan across the landscape while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distances between you and the targets you scan with the viewfinder.

Slope - Measures slope, +/- one degree of angle, and compensated range, based upon ball trajectory and type of club used. All shown on an LCD display.
